Etisalat’s Cliqfest hits University of Calabar in style and pomp.

For two days, Cliqfest provided a beautiful blend of education and entertainment (edutainment) sponsored by Nigeria’s innovative and youth centric company, Etisalat for the University of Calabar campus.

The fun-filled campus tour had a life inspiring seminar anchored by motivational speaker, Niyi Adesanya who dished out success tips for life after school.

Students were also treated to a football match, a music rap contest, dancing competition and a raffle draw where lots of exciting gifts such as phones and laptops were won.

The climax of the event was the emergence of Violet Ukama, a 400 Level student of Soil Science as winner of the star prize, a Hyundai i10 car.

Speaking after receiving her car key, an overwhelmed Ukama thanked Etisalat for the “unbelievable gift.”

She said “I just finished my exams yesterday and here I am winning a car today. It is unbelievable! I am so excited I really don’t know what to say. A very big thank you to Etisalat for giving me this opportunity.”

Nigerian Idol winners, Evelle and K-Peace also thrilled the students at a concert alongside Idowu Odugbemi known as Eye-D and Dolu.

Prof. Eyong Ubana, the Dean, Student Affairs praised Etisalat extensively.

“I am happy that a student has won this car, we will encourage our students to subscribe more to the Etisalat brand and we are hopeful that they will come again next year with more than one car to present to two of my students” he stated joyously.
