Colonel Nicholas Ashinze, the former aide to ex-National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki, has been released by the federal government.
Ashinze who has been in detention since December 23, 2015, was released by 2pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The military officer, having spent 3 months in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Military Authority, is said to have reunited with his family.
A Judge of an Abuja High Court, sitting in Jabi Justice Yusuf Haliru had on March 14, 2016 ordered EFCC, and the Nigerian Army (NA), to release Colonel Ashinze.
