Plateau lawmaker, Godfrey Dashe dies after a brief illness

Godfrey Dashe, lawmaker representing Qua’pan south constituency in the Plateau state house of assembly, is dead.

Speaker of the State Assembly, Peter Azi, revealed that Dashe died in the early hours of Tuesday in Jos, after a brief illness.

Azi said: “This is a monumental loss not only to his family, constituency, this Assembly, but the entire state.”

“I was informed of his ill-health, I went to see him at the hospital last night and he was looking better. To my greatest surprise, I got a call in the early hours of today that he gave up the ghost. We will really miss his elderly counselling in the house.”
