Former Real Madrid boss, Jose Mourinho who was officially unveiled as the new manager of English side, Manchester United early Tuesday morning has revealed that he would like to equal Sir Alex Ferguson’s record at the club.

“I can’t hide that I want to chase Sir Alex’s record,” the Portuguese told Pressmen at the conference.

Sir Alex Ferguson before his retirement in 2013, won 13 League titles, two Champions League trophies, five FA cups, four League cups and a Club World Cup with the club. Mourinho, however, is well known for having short spells with clubs.

Mourinho also registered his displeasure at the fact that Manchester United will not be competing at the UEFA Champions League this season.

“I am unhappy that we are not in the Champions League. Manchester United is a Champions League club, and in July 2017 instead of waiting for the play-off draw this where it has to be and that is the Champions League,”  he said.
