Immigration tragedy: FG offers victims’ families automatic employment

President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the reservation of three employment slots as part of compensation for the families of the victims of the stampede which occurred during the Nigerian Immigration Service nationwide selection process on Saturday.

This information was disclosed by the minister of information, Labaran Maku  to the State House correspondents at the end of the Federal Executive Council meeting which  was devoted to the incident, adding that the President said a lady must be part of the beneficiaries.

Jonathan also ordered that employment should be given to others who sustained injuries during the exercise and are hospitalized.
