INEC distributes 1.2m PVCs in preparation for Ondo Guber polls

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday said it has distributed 1,201,073 Permanent Voter Cards to voters in Ondo State in preparation for its governorship election.

This was revealed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Olusegun Agbaje at a stakeholders’ meeting in Akure.

He urged those who are yet to get theirs to do so quickly, stating that 344, 006 PVCs were yet to be collected.

He said, “It is important to stress at this juncture that only the PVCs would be used to vote during the governorship poll, while the smart card readers would be used for accreditation of voters.”

Agbaje advised residents to stay away from manipulation and sales of PVCs.
