The Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Maishanu has been temporarily removed from his position.

He has been replaced with another commissioner from Police Headquarters, Abuja.

The unexpected change comes less than 24 hours to the State’s 2014 gubernatorial election.

The change is said to be standard election procedure and barring any surprises, he is expected to resume his duties after the election is concluded.
