Contrary to the popular reaction to Joys Oyedepo’s “healing miracle” video, all we have to say here is LOL!
Lol at Joys’ failed attempt at exploiting the undeniable gullibility of Nigerians. Failed attempt because, “Sorry Joys, we did not fall for this one”. But hey, unlike most, we are not here to pull you down or disparage your father, Bishop David Oyedepo’s reputation over this silly joke of yours.
This is the sham of the century, really!
So this young lady positions herself with her arms outstretched in front of a camera, calls on God to heal her upper back and rearrange her discs and vertebrae and before the prayer is done, she begins to make some weird movement and one arm becomes longer than the other and yeah, her healing is complete.
LOL! Joys Oyedepo is a mess and we’re not even sorry…
The ones we’re especially sorry for are those who have decided to use this video as an opportunity to lambast Nigerian pastors and religion, always quick to cast the stone. Is it your healing? Better let a lady have fun.
We totally understand that this might be distasteful for some but we won’t even get started on the hypocrites who make up the larger percentage of the concerned and angry commentariat. The attorneys-at-law on behalf of God, who are attacking the joker (Joys) for “calling the name of God in vain”. Please, just stop it!
We were getting to the point where we’d say “On a serious note…” but to be frank, there is no serious note to this and the matter, as far as we’re concerned is undeserving of an article. We only thought we’d share our thoughts here.
By the way, at the YNaija office, we tried out Joys’ miracle posture and we decided to call it #ShoulderChallenge since we see things from her very insane angle. Truthfully, it’s worth trying out. We can all get in formation and tilt our shoulders till one of our outstretched arms becomes longer than the other because we’re totally here for this rude joke Joys Oyedepo pulled on all of us.
