The State Security Services (SSS) has apprehended two suspected ritualists John Yakubu, 25, and Ishaya Dakulung, 30, with a human head following a tip off. They were arrested along A.Y.A junction of Asokoro District, Abuja. The duo confessed to the crime.
One of the suspects, Dakulung, told journalists that it was he who approached Yakubu, offering him the sum of N250, 000 to get a human head. Dakulung said the head was needed by an unnamed person for ritual purposes.
Yakubu then went to his village, Angwa Galadima in Nasarawa State where he lured his unsuspecting victim, a 7 year old boy to the stream with bread worth N20. The boy’s name was Samu Danjuma, and he was the son of Yakubu’s neighbour.
Yakubu beheaded the boy at the stream and took the severed head to Dakulung in Abuja. It was in Abuja that the officers of the SSS following a tip off apprehended the duo.
They would be charged to court once investigations are completed.
