Kogi election: James Faleke heads to Appeal Court

The running mate of late Abubakar Audu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the November 21 governorship election in Kogi state, Abiodun Faleke, has rejected the Abuja Federal High Court’s ruling that Saturday’s supplementary election should proceed.

Justice Gabriel Kolawole ruled on Friday afternoon, that the court lacked the jurisdiction to intervene in the matter.

Faleke said he would appeal against the ruling, in a statement released on Friday in Lokoja.

He vowed to take his case to the Appeal Court to get the mandate rightly given to him by the electorate in the state.

According to Faleke, the judgment by the Federal High Court fell short of expectation.
