An official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority reportedly slumped while controlling traffic in the Idi Araba area of Lagos on Saturday.

The official, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, fell at about 1:30pm along Ishaga Road and began to gasp for breath till he eventually fell into a coma.

His colleagues and bystander rushed to pull him off the road and made frantic efforts to resuscitate him.

Some of the LASTMA officials went as far as pounding his chest, while others poured water on him but when his colleagues realized that he was not responding to the first aid, they took him into their vehicle and drove off.
