President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday had a closed-door meeting with Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

2. NO RIFT BETWEEN PRESIDENCY AND SENATE – SARAKI

Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Monday said there was no rift between the presidency and the senate.

3. ONDO ASSEMBLY SPEAKER DUMPS PDP FOR APC

The newly-elected speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Bamidele Oleyelogun has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

4. AT LEAST 10 PERSONS KILLED AS EXPLOSIONS HIT RUSSIAN TRAIN STATION

At least ten persons have been killed as twin explosions ripped the metro in St Petersburg, Russia.

The incident which occurred at two separate locations including Sennaya Ploshchad train station left at least 50 injured including children.

Senate President Bukola Saraki has said he does not have the powers to reverse the suspension of former majority leader of the senate, Ali Ndume.
