Senate President Bukola Saraki has confirmed that students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) will resume on Friday.
Saraki on Wednesday tweeted that the intervention of his office will ensure the immediate resumption of academic activities.
He wrote: “Glad that after our intervention, #LAUTECH students will be returning back to school. Kudos to the @oyostategovt and @StateofOsun!”

What happened:
The institution has been closed for almost a year over the non-payment of staff’s salaries and allowances.
LAUTECH owned by Oyo and Osun States had in June set up a crowdfunding initiative to raise N1 billion within 90 days to be used in solving the financial problems of the institution.
