The Senate president, David Mark has released a goodwill message to Nigerians as the nation marks its 52nd Independence Anniversary.
Mark expressed optimism that notwithstanding the myriad of challenges which the country faces presently Nigeria will reach the end of the tunnel.
He stressed his belief that the destiny of the nation is in the hands of its people affirming that Nigeria as a country has the ability to solve its own problem.
The senator said, “Look inwards, and do the right things in conformity with our laws and customs. We can adequately find solutions to our problems.”
He maintained that terrorism is alien to the Nigerian culture saying the challenges of insecurity shall be resolved.
According to him, terrorism is “hitherto alien to us and a challenge we all must resolve to end.”
He concluded his address by assuring the nation of the lawmakers’ commitment towards a bet
