Barely one week after the death of Abba Kyari, the late chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, nephew to the president, Mamman Daura, penned down an eulogy about the former politician, describing him as a dependable companion. Kyari died from COVID-19 complications and was buried right away. There has been a plethora of personal experiences shared by people about Kyari, seeking to reconstruct his image and endear him to the public.

But Nigerians aren’t having it. Social media was awash with criticisms of Daura’s eulogy of Kyari today, with parts saying that all future Chiefs of Staff would be judged by the benchmark of Kyari.
