Of course you already know this: everything so-called billionaire, Jimoh Ibrahim touches turns to shit.
His murderous hands have killed several brands, including Virgin Nigeria, Nicon Luxury Hotels, Newswatch magazine, and the list continues to stretch across his legacy of death and destruction.
He buys up property and then lays waste to them, unfailingly.
But nowhere is this dark art more obvious than with the newspaper, National Mirror which he bought for no discernible reason years ago. He had no vision for it, no real passion for journalism, and no track record of success. And yet he bought it… and of course proceeded to ruin it.
How does he sleep at night, after owing the staff of that organization their salaries for 14 months – more than a year! – and then in March of this year, simply shutting it all down and sending everyone home without as much as an apology or palliative?
Till date, none of the workers of that company has been told what happens to the years they are owed, the paper itself has no obvious roadmap for the future, and all is just quiet as if they don’t matter.
As if nothing matters. To a man who claims to be a billionaire, and a human being.
How do these kinds of human beings sleep at night?
