It’s like ThisDay Style endorsing a candidate. Even though, some of you won’t be shocked by that – because Nigeria, and cash-and-carry.
But this is a big deal for America.
First, Trump has endorsements from zero major newspapers and magazines in America.
And now, a fashion voice – supposedly the base for the shallow and the unconcerned – is making its first endorsement ever in its forever history.
“Editors in chief have made their opinions known from time to time, but the magazine has never spoken in an election with a single voice,” the magazine said yesterday. “Given the profound stakes of this one, and the history that stands to be made, we feel that should change.”
Of course Vogue hasn’t hidden its adoration of Hillary, with six adoring profiles (they have featured all of Trump’s three wives though) and its editor-in-chief and soul, Anna Wintour has long supported Clinton, even purportedly moonlighting as her style consulting, as well as hosting fundraisers.
The world is changing, people. And the media with it.
