Meet Mercy and Patience- The 2 Chibok girls who escaped from Boko Haram

On the 14th of April 2014, the terrorist group, Boko Haram, that had been the North-East region of Nigeria,  abducted over 275 schoolgirls from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno state. The abductions provoked a worldwide outcry that resulted in the Bring Back Our Girls movement.

That night, at least 50 girls were able to jump out of the truck conveying the girls and flee for their lives. Mercy and Patience were among those.

Journalist, Jackson Ude, shared the information on his Twitter page yesterday. This is what the girls have been up to:

Yesterday, the Nigerian government negotiated the release of 82 more Chibok girls in exchange for some Boko Haram prisoners. Nigerians responded to this news with euphoria.
