Meet Ozonna, ex-CBN gov. Soludo’s son who makes music

by Chinwe Okafor

This is confirmation that not every child takes after their father’s craft – even that of the high and mighty.

Ozonna Soludo is the son of the ex-governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Charles Soludo. The one other thing he has in common, aside having a well known last name, with the likes career converts, Dj Cuppy and Falz The Bad Guy, is that they faced little or no resistance when they declared their passion for the art.

But unlike his peers who had to divert, the 20 year-old knew what he wanted and went for it. He went ahead to study at the London Institute of Contemporary Music Performance and with that he launched his professional career as a musician in 2013.

The first son of his parents, Ozonna started writing music since he was 12 and sings a congenial blend of RnB/Pop. He has met and worked with Lynn Verlayne, Grammy Award nominated producers such as Greco/Ross Disalvo, Scott Jacoby, Tove Lo, Jessie J, etc.

Currently residing in New York, Ozonna is set to release his album but for now his debut single ‘Me and you on top’ is doing pretty well with over 160, 000 views on YouTube.
