It was only a matter of time.

One time Nigerian Military Head of State, and now APC Presidential Candidate for the 2015 General Elections, General Muhammadu Buhari has finally joined Twitter with handle @ThisIsBuhari. About 5 hours ago, the account sent out its first tweet:

Good afternoon my friends! This will now be my official Twitter handle to communicate with you. – GMB

In that time the General has managed to amass almost 5,000 followers. If the account’s successive tweets are any indication, it appears he intends to send out personal tweets once in a while.
