N30trn leakage: CEOs appear before senate after arrest order

Chief Executive Officers of 30 companies accused of complicity in the frauds amounting to N30tn in the export and import value chain have appeared before the Senate probe panel.

Chairman of the Senate Joint Committee on Customs, Excise and Tariff; and Marine Transport, Senator Hope Uzodinma confirmed this on Wednesday.

The panel had earlier order the arrest of the CEOs for failing to appear before it.

Uzodinma had said out of 63 accused companies, only 33 firms had appeared before it.
