NFF to drag Oliseh before FIFA over ‘sudden resignation’

The Nigeria Football Federation, is reportedly looking for ways to indict Sunday Oliseh before FIFA and the Court of Arbitration following his sudden resignation on Thursday, February 25.

The NFF, according to the Vanguard Newspaper, has instructed its lawyers to peruse Oliseh’s contract to find out possible aspects he breached with his resignation.

Oliseh had reportedly received the arrears of his salary and his allowances before tendering his resignation.

Even though the lawyers are still looking for lapses, the NFF has identified the payment of Oliseh’s accommodation funds and coaching the national team from Belgium as areas where his contract was breached.

“The lawyers are going to come up with those breaches but you know that he resigned with immediate effect without giving us the mandatory one month notice.”

“He coached the Eagles from Belgium and it was explicitly stated in the contract that he must coach the team based in Nigeria.”

“He already collected money for his accommodation when he never stayed here. It is left for those with Eagle eyes to come up with the breaches.”
