Nigerian Army to give N1m for information on ‘abducted Colonel’

In a bid to ensure the swift and safe return of the abducted military personnel, Colonel Samaila Inusa, the Nigerian Army has jerked up the reward for anyone with useful information to N1 million.

In addition to the cash reward, the Nigerian Army promised to give adequate protection to such a person who provides useful information while also stating that the information would be treated with utmost confidentiality.

The Colonel was over the weekend, abducted and taken away in his Mercedes-Benz car by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers around Kamazo, along Kaduna Refinery Road, in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State.

Deputy Director, Army Public Relations Officer of 1 Division Nigerian Army, Colonel Abdul Usman revealed to the press on Sunday, March 27 that the Colonel was kidnapped on the night of Saturday, March 26

In a statement, Usman had said “the abductors dropped off Colonel Inusa’s wife and left with him in his car. The car headed towards Abuja.”

The military authority, having earlier promised N500,000 reward for useful information, on Monday, March 28, doubled the cash prize for any informant, -to ensure the prompt rescue of the Colonel.
