Everton have beaten Arsenal to sign one of Nigeria’s most exciting young talents, Henry Onyekuru.

And the Toffees got the Nigerian ahead of the Gunners and other top European sides, who all scouted the youngster.

Onyekuru is believed to have undergone a medical at Everton’s Finch Farm training base on Monday and agreed personal terms – with his contract having a £6.8m release clause.

The player has confirmed the move with a photo that has an Everton background.
