Teenage schoolgirl found in Lagos after living months in captivity

15-year-old Precious Nwaigwe was kidnapped in the Ajah area of Lagos State, while on her way to school in Ogun State a year ago but has now been returned to Lagos.
According to reports by Punch, the detectives at the State Criminal Investigation Department, together with men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, rescued the girl.
Apparently, she was said to have been dropped off in the Obalende area of Lagos on Friday.
Precious who had come to Lagos from her school to spend the holiday with her father in Ajah was escorted by him on that fateful day unbeknown that the veichle belonged to that of kidnappers.
It was reported that a few weeks after the journey, the Nwaigwes got a call from Precious’s school, Ikenne Community College, Ikenne, that she had yet to arrive in the school and few months after the kidnap, her captors demanded for a ransom of $100, 000.
Her captors threatened to make her work for the money if not paid and later, reports came in later that she was being sold to a pimp.
Precious’ father confirmed that his daughter had been found. He said, “Yes, she’s been found. I am just leaving the village and coming to Lagos as well. I will give you some more details later.”
