The presidential investigative panel set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to investigate the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayo Oke is currently interrogating Lawal, Daily Trust reports.
The three-man panel headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is investigating Lawal for allegations of violations of law and due process made against the suspended SGF in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North-East.This is Babachir’s first appearance before the committee which was constituted last Wednesday.
Lawal is appearing before the panel for the first time which was constituted last Wednesday.
The panel Monday quizzed Oke for the second time over the $50m discovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an apartment in Ikoyi.
