Osiomhole’s information commissioner resigns

The Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Edo state, Louis Odion, has resigned from his cabinet.

Odion was first appointed by Adams Oshiomhole in 2011 and retained his position for the governor’s second term.

Oshiomhole has reportedly accepted the resignation and it’s expected to take effect from the end of this month.

Odion, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, said he decided to leave his position since PDP is no longer in power and also to pursue his professional career.

“I have been away for four years and my children are still young. They need my attention. I have always seen myself as a professional and I have been on sabbatical from the news room,” he said.
