Outrage: Policeman kills bus conductor for ‘stepping on him’, threatens to shoot mob

by Isi Esene

A policeman attached to the Alapere Police Division in Ketu yesterday allegedly shot and killed a bus conductor for stepping on him.

Reports say the policeman was standing at Tipper Bus Stop when the incident happened.

An eyewitness said, “The policeman was in mufti. He challenged the man on why he stepped on him and could not apologize. I think the victim maintained that he was not going to apologize to him.

“It happened so fast. All we heard was a gunshot and the conductor fell down bleeding profusely.”

People in the area immediately swooped on him to exact revenge but he reportedly threatened to shoot anyone who came close.

He also threatened to shoot a riot policeman who challenged is action.

“But as he was trying to escape, people around followed him and caught him. People were really angry. When they discovered that he was a policeman, riot developed. The rioters wanted to burn down Ketu Police Division,” a police source said.

The police source confirmed that the policeman involved is attached to the Alapere Police Station but his identity is yet to be confirmed as at press time.

One more needless killing by a trigger happy out-of-control police officer.

  1. That's sign of the end time when people will not have patience.

  2. If the unfortunate incident in Aluu didn't happen,he may not have been so lucky after the mob caught up with him. Just saying…
