Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, insists that the opposition party belongs to everybody.
Prince Secondus says the party is the democratic asset of Nigeria, and no influential person can lay claim to sole control of the structure.
The Acting Chairman said on Tuesday, that the party will not be hijacked by powerful individuals during his watch.
Speaking at Legacy House, Abuja, when visited by a group known as PDP Rebirth Forum, Secondus assured them that the youth would play important and strategic roles in the revival of the party at the 2019 elections.
“The PDP will not belong to any influential person; it belongs to all members especially the people at the grassroots. It is the democratic asset of Nigeria.
It belongs to the common man. No influential person will stop the youth from realizing their political ambitions of becoming governors or members of the National Assembly.”
