PDP Chairman, Adamu Mu’azu resigns

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, has reportedly resigned from his position.

The development was confirmed on Wednesday, May 20, by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Abdullahi Jalo, to Punch Newspapers.

“It is true, Mu’azu has resigned. I can confirm this to you, he resigned today,” Jalo stated.

In the past few weeks, calls for his resignation by governors of the Peoples Democratic Party had greatly increased.

Prominent among those who agitated for his stepping aside, was Ekiti state Governor, Ayo Fayose
