The Enugu state police command on Friday arraigned a seven-year-old boy, Chibuike Miracle Oramalu, before a magistrate court, for alleged murder.
The Punch reports that Chibuike, a primary two pupil had on May 29, accidentally fired a gun which killed 12-year-old Oluebube Boniface.
The gun belonged to Edwin Oforma, the employer of Chibuike’s mother.
While making the bed in Oforma’s room, Chibuike stumbled on the gun, and accidentally pulled the trigger.
The police moved in swiftly and detained Chibuike from May 30 till July 13, when he was released.
Barely two weeks after his release, Chibuike was on Friday arraigned before an Enugu magistrate court over alleged conspiracy and murder.
Oforma, the owner of the gun was arraigned alongside the seven-year-old boy before Magistrate Hillary Asogwa.
In the charge sheet, which was obtained by The Punch, Chibuike and Oforma were accused of conspiring among themselves to commit murder.
