On Monday, 25 August, during BET’s “106 & Park” a segment of the show had a guest host, Karreuche Tran, who made a joke about Blue Ivy’s uncombed natural hair.
Immediately after the show aired, Beyoncé fans flocked to Twitter to attack Karrueche for telling the inappropriate joke.
However, Karreuche said she was only reading the teleprompter and the producers changed the script 10 minutes beforehand without her knowledge.
But that didn’t stop the good folks of beyhive from lashing out at Chris Brown’s girlfriend. They really went after her on social media until BET had to man-up and take the blame.
Stephen Hill, BET’s president of Music Programming, announced via a series of tweet explaining that she didn’t write the joke.
Hill also apologized to Beyoncé and Jay Z and said the producers who wrote the joke would be appropriately disciplined.
Meanwhile, it has been announced that the show, 106 & Park will be off-the-air for the remainder of the week, which has prompted many to speculate that the temporary hiatus was as a result of the Blue ivy joke goof, and ultimately, the power of Beyonce and her die-hard fans.
The next 4 tweets should be read as one.

(1/4) Last night on 106 & Park there was a stupid, unthoughtful joke made about a young child.

(2/4)We apologize publically to the child’s parents (and have done so privately) and we have taken punitive actions with those responsible.

(4/4) Oh, and please don’t hate on Karrueche; it was NOT her fault. We also apologize to her for putting her in that position.
