Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers and bitter rival of the Minister of Transport, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi had a short private meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, May 16 at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock.

According to Punch, Wike arrived the Presidential Villa around 2pm for the said meeting.

Wike and Amaechi have been at each other’s necks for quite a while now, before Amaechi was made a minister by Buhari.

Even though the meeting did not last up to 30 minutes, the outcome might still not be favorable for Amaechi who after a scathing article by British news platform, Daily Mail has been under intense fire for allegedly being corrupt.

Wike declined to speak with State House correspondents while at the Presidential Villa sparking more speculation.
