President Jonathan meets the man who called Africa a country yesterday (PHOTOS)

Sigh. What can we do?

Yesterday, President Jonathan, who is in Washington DC for the much talked about for the US-Africa Leadership Summit, had several meetings, one of them a private chat in the Roosevelt room of the White House with the American Vice President, Joe Biden, yesterday, 5 August.

Of course we are sure he couldn’t mention the latest gaffe from America’s favourite political punchline.

During the business summit yesterday, Biden had said: “There’s no reason the nation of Africa cannot and should not join the ranks of the world’s most prosperous nations in the near term, in the decades ahead. There is simply no reason.”

Positive enough statement. Except, you know, Africa is not a nation. No, Mr. Vice President, it’s a continent of 54 countries, thank you.
