The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) was founded by President Barack Obama with the goal of encouraging the growth and advancement of young Leaders across Africa. The Face to Face event is a new challenge that was launched to encourage hundreds of thousands of youth-based YALI community members, to take what they have learnt from the online courses and host a YALI Learns event in their community.

The theme of this event is – Paving the way for women Entrepreneurs and Developing women in the workplace. The focus of this event will be on:
-the challenges faced by female entrepreneurs;
-the importance of the community investing in female entrepreneurs;
-the gender stereotype encountered by women in the workplace and how to overcome same, and
-sharing of experiences and achievements that will encourage the young female entrepreneurs and professionals.

The purpose of this event is to encourage and educate women who still face many challenges when it comes to their professional lives, whether they are employed in a traditional workplace or starting a new business. During this event, women will learn ways to face these challenges and confidently navigate the workplace and their respective businesses. This event is not just for women, as men will also gain an understanding of how to ensure equal opportunity for women.

This event promises to be exciting and informative with opportunities for networking, socializing, pitching of business ideas, and learning from experienced entrepreneurs and professionals.

Our Keynote speakers are: Mrs Adeola Azeez (Deputy Country Head of Deutsche Bank), Mrs Osayi Alile (CEO of F.A.T Foundation), Mrs Funke Bucknor-Obruthe (CEO of Zapphire Events Limited), and Chief Mrs Nike Okundaye (Founder of Nike Art Gallery).
