The final presidential debate in the US election has just ended and this one might actually be the best of all three debates so far as both candidates brought on full character, especially with the choice of words used against each other.

For Republican candidate, Donald Trump, not much has changed since the last debate as he did not fail to interject with the word “wrong” each time he disagreed with facts raised by opponent, Hillary Clinton. However, what ultimately stood out in this debate is the number of lies Donald Trump told; while we may not immediately be able to put together a compendium of all his lies, here’s one that was most striking tonight.

When moderator, Chris Wallace, raised the question of the sexual assault allegations made against him, Trump went ballistic calling it all lies and blaming it on Clinton’s “crooked campaign tactics”. In his own defence, Trump said: “I never apologised to my wife because I didn’t do anything. She’s sitting right here.”

Well, Trump lied. But which Trump? Melania or Donald?

At the time of the leak of the video where her husband made lewd comments about kissing and grabbing women, Melania Trump made a public statement calling her husband’s words “offensive and inappropriate”. She further said, “He apologised to me. And I accept his apology and we’re moving on. I hope people will accept his apology as I have”.

So far in the campaign, Donald Trump’s lies have built and he’s never gone back on them. Mostly, he uses new lies to debunk previous lies so this does not come as too much of a surprise.
