Reince Priebus confirms he resigned

On Friday, July 28, when Donald Trump announced a new White House Chief of Staff, it looked like Reince Priebus had been sacked, but rumours started spreading that he resigned days before Trump’s Twitter announcement.

A White House reporter for Wall Street Journal, Michael Bender confirmed that Priebus actually resigned but no public announcement was made until Trump’s – which looked more like a sack, even though he appreciated Priebus.

In a series of tweets, Bender wrote, “I resigned privately yesterday, Reince Priebus tells me.

“Trump told Priebus a change was coming 2 weeks ago, a senior admin official tells me; Kelly was offered—and he accepted—the job earlier this week.

“Trump loved Kelly’s Cabinet presentations, which consistently showed results, White House official says. “A killer,” Trump calls his new staff chief.”
