Bolt completes a triple with Jamaica, Team USA wins women relay race + more on our #RioOlympics update

Usain Bolt has made history clinching his ninth Olympics gold medal, after leading the Jamaican relay team to victory at a time of 37.27 seconds.

The 29-year-old who is considered as the greatest sprinter of all time has now completed a “triple triple”, winning the 100m, 200m and relay races in three consecutive Olympics.

Japanese relay team surprisingly came second with a time of 37.60 seconds while USA came third in 37.62 seconds.

In the women relay race, team USA won with the fastest time ever recorded in 41.01 seconds.

Jamaica finished second in 41.36 seconds, with Britain taking bronze in a national record of 41.77 seconds.

On the medals table, USA still leads with 105 medals, Britain in second with 60 medals nd China in third with 65 medals.

Nigeria is yet to win any medal.
