For his job’s sake, Mu’azu expresses commitment to Jonathan’s re-election

by James Sambo

In recent times, feelers from the Presidency suggest that the National Chairman of the PDP, Adamu Mu’azu, us not fully trusted by the party nor is he believed to be pulling his weight for President Jonathan’s re-election.

Apart from being chastised for not doing enough to sell GEJ’s candidature to his home-ground of the North, Mu’azu has also been lambasted for not vocally criticising presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

For the love of his position and in his own defence, Mu’azu has sought to promptly quell the growing insinuations.

The Peoples Democratic Party Chairman said he’s doing his best for the President’s re-election and he’s fully committed to the cause.

Mu’azu reacted to the reports through his Chief Press Secretary, Tony Amadi, saying: “He is working with the presidential campaign’s directorate. He doesn’t need to organise his own campaign.”

“He is also doing a lot of work to reconcile warring factions of the party in his state. He doesn’t rattle around unlike others. He also doesn’t go about with retinue of journalists to do his job. The chairman is fully committed to the re-election of the President and he has been working well for this.”

We genuinely hope that with this defence, the PDP can now cut the man some slack, no?
