I’m tired of talking, and I’m sure I am not alone in this, the MALT approach should be our religion from now onwards. More Action: Less Talk. Angels won’t come down and do this for us, we have to do it by ourselves…

I can comfortably tell you that we’ve talked too much in Nigeria. Honestly speaking, we’ve said it all, when it comes to pointing out our issues in this country, to the point that even a kid can line these problems up for you without any hitch. Right from independence to date, all Nigerians do is talk.

Don’t get me wrong, talking is good, its from discussions, debates, exchange of ideas and other productive engagements that good solutions will stem from, and yes, a lot of possible solutions have risen from these talks over a period of 50 years going back. But the fundamental question is for how long can we keep talking?

Let me do this in a simple language that all will comprehend. What we need now is the MALT approach, which is an acronym of More Action: Less Talk. Its time for us to start implementing these solutions, from grassroot at local governments all over the federation, to states and the national level. Let us coordinate more, articulate these ideas and solutions and make them more achievable. It doesn’t have to start big, we can start from ourselves individually and then proceed to our neighbors, our area and then keep expanding. let us associate with people of like minds and work together as one. We have to do this now, or we keep sinking deep under. We cannot give us, and we owe it to our kids and even generations unborn to salvage this country before it goes of in flames.

I’m tired of talking, and I’m sure I am not alone in this, the MALT approach should be our religion from now onwards. More Action: Less Talk. Angels won’t come down and do this for us, we have to do it by ourselves, and the time is long overdue. If only we will practice what we preach, Nigeria will certainly be a better place.
