A student of Ozar secondary school, Asa in Ukwa West LGA of Abia State, who was sent home by one of her teachers, Mrs Njoku on Monday to cut her hair, returned with her mother and elder siblings to attack teachers and students .
The JSS 2 student, Precious Nwadike, had earlier been warned by same teacher two weeks ago to cut her hair but she did not heed to the warning.
Thus, on arrival to school on Monday, the student was asked to go home and cut her hair.
She left immediately, only to return two hours later with her mother and four of her siblings who marched straight to the staff room and commanded the teachers to come out.
The mother, Mrs Nwadike held the teacher, pulled her cloth and ordered the sons to cut her hair.
The intervention of another teacher, Mrs Osuagwu provoked the sons and one of them, Uche almost strangled her.
The intervention of students led to a free for all fight, which Mrs Nwadike and her children appeared to be fully prepared for.
A youth corp member serving in the school who pleaded anonymity had to alert the military personnel.
Their quick arrival at the school calmed the situation and doused the tension.
Mrs Nwadike and children were arrested and detained at the Obehie police station, in Asa.
The Principal of the school Mrs F.N Nwachukwu, took the wounded students and teachers to obehie Health Center for treatment.

This must be a useless bunch
Enter your comment here…I as a person instruct the teacher ward to even punish my ward at present, depend on the sin they committed. Pls. allowed teacher’s do their JOBs Pls.
The usage of ”barb hair” is wrong. Have a hair cut is correct.
You can see the kind of ‘parents’ the society is breeding, ones that can accompany their ward to her school and beat up the teacher,as for me,they should take the kid home and teach, and it should be a state wide decision sanctioned by the school’s management board.
Terrible! My brother. None of my children dared bring back a report that my teacher beat me or punished me because, the first thing I ll do is to ask you want you did in the first place to warrant it.
They dare not lie because I ll ask their classmates.
in the end, if you lied or were at fault, it incurred more punishment from me
