The committee screened were Justice Sidi Dauda Bage (North-Central) and Justice Paul Adamu Galinje (North-East).

President Buhari had forwarded the name of both justices saying the nominees had fulfilled the necessary requirements to appear before the Senate committee.

Chairman of the committee, Senator David-Umaru said the nominees during the screening,  addressed issues concerning reforms in the judiciary, the time frame for dispensing justice, due regard to technicalities, substantial justice and conflicting judgments.
