Nigerian filmmaker Biodun Stephen has unveiled the trailer for her upcoming project, “I Am Anis,” a movie based on real-life events. The plot centres on Anisola Williams, whose seemingly perfect life spirals into unexpected chaos, revealing hidden truths she never anticipated. The movie is set to be released on March 21st.
“I Am Anis” explores themes of rebellion, consequences, and personal redemption. According to Stephen, the film is more than just a story—it’s a movement. “This isn’t just a movie. It’s a campaign to #NudgeDontJudge,” she shares. “In a world where battles between toxicity, inferiority, and superiority constantly rage, the girl who is struggling in the dark and trying to navigate life’s challenges needs nudging, not judgment.”
The movie’s cast includes Shaffy Bello, Tina Mba, Debo Adedayo (Mr Macaroni), Rykardo Agbor, Lina Idoko, Martha Ehinome Orhiere, Charles Inojie, Chimela Nwachukwu, Karen Spikes, Toyin Oshinaike, and others.
Written by Mannie Oiseomaye and Biodun Stephen, who also plays the role of producer and director, “I Am Anis” is set to premiere on March 21st, exclusively on www.circuits.tv.
