Sheriff promises to accept INEC’s decision on Ondo PDP gov candidate

Factional National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ali Modu Sheriff on Tuesday said he will accept the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission on who will be the party’s flagbearer during the forthcoming Info governorship election.

Sheriff said this in a statement signed by his media adviser, Mallam Inuwa Bwala in Abuja.

Sheriff said he wouldn’t takes sides over the choice of INEC.

Billionaire Jimoh Ibrahim had picked his nomination form from Ali Modu Sheriff while Eyitayo Jegede had pucked his from Ahmed Makarfi.

Bwala said, “Sheriff wishes to state that, as a law abiding leader, he is bound by whoever INEC publishes (as the candidate of the PDP) as both candidates in contention are respectable members of the PDP, and he will treat their issues based on merits and in accordance with the law.”
