Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) on Thursday protested the continued detention of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky at the National Assembly.
The protesters under the aegis of the Academic Forum of the Islamic Movement In Nigeria (AFIMN), decried the deteriorating eye condition of Zakzaky.
Speaking on behalf of the protesters, S.I. Ahmed said it is now 125 days since Justice Gabriel Kolawole ordered his release within 45 days.
“It is now obvious that those in the corridors of power flout th laws of the land with impunity,” he said.
Speaking to the protesters, the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Ado Doguwa said the assembly is looking into the case.
