Judge-and-Jury

Two men allegedly masquerading as seers and deliverance ministers were arrested after they swindled one of their victims of N6 million, which they claimed would be used to conduct deliverance on him.

Workers attached to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Adeniji Adele, Lagos, arrested Sunday Omogbehin and Olawale Adeniyi who allegedly held a prayer session with their victim, one Ojomo in Aguda area of Lagos, last year, linking his inability to travel out of the country to some spiritual controls. They then demanded N6 million claiming it would be used to offer prayers that would also cleanse his (victim) mouth odour.

They also apparently told Ojomo, who at that time was battling to obtain a Canadian visa that after the deliverance session, he would be successful in his visa application

But after he reportedly paid N6 million and nothing happened, Ojomo decided to sound an alarm telling the Adeniji Adele police unit that the suspects had hypnotized him..

According to reports, the case, was charged to Igbosere Magistrate Court on a two-count charge of felony, obtaining money by false pretense and stealing, from where the suspects were remanded in prison custody over their inability to meet up with the bail condition of payment of N250,000 each and two sureties in like some.
