The Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, on Wednesday said suicide bombers will spend their eternity in hell.
Abubakar who is also the President-General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, and the Spiritual Leader of Muslims in the country made the statement when Innocent Idibia, a musician popularly called 2Face, paid him a courtesy call in Sokoto.
Abubakar said Islam and Christianity are religions that preach peace and love.
According to the sultan, no human being can claim to love God without loving his neighbour.
“Religion is a personal choice of an individual. Therefore, nobody can force any religion on anybody. Suicide bombers are going to hell.”
