Super Eagles chief coach Salisu Yusuf has expressed belief that the team will qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Yusuf said this when he spoke to reporters in Abuja on Thursday.

“With the right commitment and conviction, we will qualify for the World Cup with the group of young players we now have,” he said.

The coach also said he hopes to finally sign a contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) next week.

“I hope by next week I will seal my contract,” he told reporters in Abuja on Thursday.

“The NFF lawyer who will arrange the contract is not around now.”

Yusuf is yet to sign a contract with the NFF after the Federation engaged technical adviser Gernot Rohr in a two-year-deal.
