Five killed, others injured as rival cults take up arms in Kogi

About five people were killed over the weekend in Ankpa, Kogi State following an attack by suspected cult members.

According to reports from the Leadership Newspapers several others were also wounded in the attack.

One of the notorious leaders of the cult group, who led a squad that killed one Sule Prince Bawa in Ankpa near Corpers Lodge, was reportedly hacked down in the attack.

Security men told reporters that investigation into the matter has been hampered by prominent individuals with vested interest.

A community leader in Ankpa, Mallam Suleiman Dauda who spoke to journalists over the issue said that until the elders are brought to book, there cannot be peace in the area.
