The Dark: Closeted in

[Musings from behind the Pashmina Veil]

I spent the day in the dark today
In my unlit walking closet
All lights shut out
Eyes bound tightly behind my Pashmina
Allowing no ray’s through the dark I crave.

I spent the day in my dark walk-in closet today
Surrounded by my collection of shoes, clothes and whatnot
I lay my head down and allowed no light all-day

I spent the day blacked out of my world
Unlit by the light of my family, work or friends.

I lay in my closet behind my Egyptian pulled cotton pashmina
Surrounds by sounds from the piano
Ushering in thoughts that lit me from within
Wrestling down the lines and barricades that look to make me forget my why

I chose to lay me down in my dark closet
Shutting myself in to let myself out.
I choose vulnerability.
I choose to embrace myself through the light of dark.

Join me as I walk behind my pashmina veil.

The dark is my light.
